March 6 - Pray for the Milwaukee Urban Program, which started yesterday. Up to 150 students are taking part in it over three different weeks and engaging in issues of race and ethnicity. Pray that God opens the hearts of the student participants.
March 7 - InterVarsity is in the midst of discerning about and hiring a new president. Pray for wisdom for the search committee, and ask the Lord to highlight a godly and talented candidate who will lead our ministry well in the years to come. Also pray for Gloria Rawlings, InterVarsity Campus Staff Member at Arizona State University & Mesa Community College. Pray that nothing would keep InterVarsity students at Arizona State and Mesa Community College from sharing the Gospel with their peers and inviting them to chapter meetings. At Mesa Community College, many students identify as atheist or Mormon. Ask God to break through their spiritual darkness so that they can understand and receive his gift of salvation.
March 8 - Please pray for 10 students at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh who are attending InterVarsity meetings but have not made a commitment to Jesus. Ask the Lord to open their eyes to their need for him, and pray that each of them will give their lives to Christ.
March 9 - The Illinois state budget crisis has put Chicago State University in danger of immediate closure. Pray that the Christian students and faculty there, particularly those in our chapter, would be people of hope and action during this difficult time for the campus.
March 10 - Praise God for the InterVarsity chapter at Davenport University (DU) in Grand Rapids, MI, which grew from 30 students to 70 last semester. Pray for wisdom for DU campus staff member Chris Vanderzee and ask the Lord to mobilize the whole community for God’s mission.
March 11 - God has answered prayers at Georgia State University for a group of students who are willing to start an InterVarsity LaFe chapter on the Atlanta campus. Ask God to help these students as they plant this new chapter and reach out to Latino students.
March 12 - Thank God for the students who have registered for InterVarsity’s summer Global Programs. Ask the Lord to provide discernment to those still praying about registering—that God would give them wisdom and clarity in pursuing his will.
