January 1-7
Chad Britten, Campus Staff Member, Carthage College
Pray for courage, love, and joy as Chad and each of the Carthage College student leaders start and lead evangelistic Bible studies in January!
1 Pray for non-Christian students on campuses in Hawaii to come to know Jesus as they develop friendships with InterVarsity students and participate in chapter activities.
2 Thank God for the success of the Black Scholars & Professionals Consultation on African American Evangelicalism, held this last October in Atlanta, GA. The event provided scholarly presentations, reflective responses, and an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in prayer.
3 Pray for new student leaders on campuses nationwide this semester to seek God’s guidance and encouragement as they help shepherd witnessing communities.
4 Twenty fraternity and sorority members from five houses at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, will attend Greek Conference in Charlotte, NC. Pray that when they return to campus, students will share the Gospel with friends as they begin Bible studies within the Greek system.
5 Pray for the right candidates to join InterVarsity staff in east central Ohio and serve the unprecedented number of students who have joined InterVarsity chapters throughout the area.
6 Students at Illinois State University in Normal, IL, continue to come together as a witnessing community. Pray they will boldly reach out and invite others to join God’s mission through InterVarsity on campus.
7 Eight international students at the University of Kansas have become Christians through the InterVarsity International Student Ministries chapter. Praise God!
