Project Description:
We'll have one week of orientation to the city and five weeks of working with an inner city agency, along with weekly training sessions.

Activities:
Activities vary depending upon the site. Some include tutoring children, assisting homeless families and single mothers, working with women in recovery from abuse, advocacy, distributing food, and visiting the elderly.

Ministry Site:
Harambee, Walter Hoving House, First Chinese Baptist Church of LA, Bresee Institute, South Central LA, Lincoln Heights Tutorial Program and more will be sites for our ministry.

Raising of Support:
Yes. Sample letters are provided. Suggestion for fund raising efforts are given.

Living Situation:
Generally, interns are housed at or nearby the ministry site. Housing may be in apartments, in a rented home, or in the home of a church member.

How to Register:
Deadline for all students is February 1. View and print the application. Then mail to the address listed on it. Please do not email applications.

Special Information:
If groups of interns are applying from a single school, it is suggested that they contact the project director about the number of people that they hope to bring.
