Safety and our Urban Projects

We equip our urban project staff to lead responsibly. Each staff is held accountable for risk management procedures on our projects that we have developed and refined over more than 25 years of urban project ministry. Every participant on one of our projects agrees to adhere to these procedures and policies.

While it is true that many of the urban neighborhoods we serve in across the U.S. suffer from higher crime rates, we have established relationships with churches and nonprofit agencies in those neighborhoods that know the environment, the people, the issues, etc. that most affect the safety and security of our project participants. All of our activities are in partnership with those churches and agencies. Many of our projects are held in neighborhoods where our own staff live, are well-known and respected by residents.
