Internet Movie Database

Again, this one is already fairly popular, but we like the fact that you can search this site pretty deeply — handy if you’re looking for a classic, trying to come up with trivia or scratching your head over a title you’ve forgotten. It covers TV and DVD/video releases, too. You can search by names, titles, characters, episodes and and more. Reviews and trailers abound, and we especially like the links to external reviews. What goes into your eyes and ears ends up in your mind and heart, so it’s good to check out movies from a Christian perspective as well as from the perspectives offered by secular media. Check out Preview Online and Plugged in online for a couple of review sites that will let you know what you’re likely to experience when you watch a current movie.

Remember when life consisted of making funny noises with your mouth or pressing your hands into your eyes to see bizarre visual effects? This site collects all those half-forgotten tricks for you to relive. And there’s even more sent in from readers. You need a break, so as the site says, “Do this now.”
