At Tri-State University in Indiana, the week before a coffeehouse outreach, more than 15 students went to every on-campus room, offering to take out their garbage and asking for prayer requests. A few days before the coffeehouse, students took fliers to the same students with the message that read, in part, “We took out your garbage last week; come out Thursday night to find out how to get the garbage out of your life.” The plan (and prayer) worked, as many curious students came. One was Rachid, a Moroccan student who heard the music in the hallway and wandered in. Rachid came back to the international Bible study a week later and purchased a Christian CD to listen to.—Shelley Soceka
