 Before you go on to enjoy "Back to the Present," please peruse our disclaimers: (1) Naturally, InterVarsity can't exactly encourage the use of time travel as a means for growing a healthy student chapter. (You know, insurance risks and all, so be careful if you try it!) (2) This is fiction. It didn't (doesn't?, won't?) happen (yet?). Wow, this gets weird. So relax and just enjoy. (3) Your fellowship might not use the term 'president.' That's okay. Just substitute whatever role you want. By the way, notice the ways in which Mark and Jonathan are very different presidents! (4) This is fiction. (Did we just say that?) Any headaches resulting from trying to theologize from this story are best relieved by remembering that God is King and he is on his throne. (5) While we at SLJ love humor, you can still find deep and profound insights in this story. And of course we've supplied a serious side bar, "Voices from the Past," for meaty discussions. |
