You may be thinking, “Why on earth do you
believe that!?”

But you can always say, “I’m curious to hear how you arrived at that conclusion.”

You may be thinking, “That’s about the dumbest notion I’ve ever heard!”

But you can always say, “That’s interesting. Let me see if I’ve heard you correctly . . .”

You may be thinking, “Come on, why can’t you just see the light and become a Christian?”

But you can always say, “Have you ever personally put your faith in Jesus or are you still on the way?” . . . Then ask, “How far along the way are you?”
