Seven fraternity and sorority students at Clemson University in South Carolina served a group of forty Greek students who met weekly for prayer, worship, and fellowship. Ten small group Bible studies gathered across the campus to examine Scripture and learn about Jesus Christ. John, a senior in academic year 2007-2008 and a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity, had plans to work in a construction company after graduation. But through prayer and personal Bible study, God led him to join InterVarsity staff at the College of William Another student, Kathryn, a junior in Delta Delta Delta sorority, was eager to begin a Bible study with her sorority sisters. Kathryn went to InterVarsity’s Greek Conference. There she participated in training focused on leading Bible studies. Upon returning to her campus, she invited thirty-two women to study God’s Word together. Kathryn was so grateful to God that they all accepted, and within a week they were all studying the Bible. “Kathryn has grown remarkably as a leader through sharing her faith in Christ,” said Dusty. Zach, a Greek student, told Dusty, “I grew up in the church, but I don’t know much about the Bible. Can you help me?” As they met regularly to study the book of Ephesians, Zach recognized his desire for a relationship with God through Jesus. “God is becoming real as I learn about his character,” said Zach. John, Kathryn, and Zach all illustrate InterVarsity’s passion to reach the whole campus with the gospel.
