Forty International students joined 30 InterVarsity students at the University of Nevada—Reno for a Curries around the World dinner. The international students appreciated having food that was familiar to them; while InterVarsity students like Kristen responded, “The curry event was a fun way to get to know international students, sharing the love of Christ through conversations and doing what we all do best…eating!”

Many internationals feel their English skills are not good enough and do not want to be embarrassed by saying something wrong. Since InterVarsity students wanted to break down the communications walls between Internationals and Americans, they invited international students to participate in an outreach event.

Twenty-two of those international students in attendance asked for more information about InterVarsity, and many have begun attending Bible studies offered on campus. InterVarsity students across the country are inviting students within their campus communities to discover who Jesus is through Scripture study.
