Too Busy Not to Pray Audio Book

June 13, 2006

You can be too busy to read a book but not too busy to pray. You can listen to this audio book while you drive, eat, or sort laundry.

The Too Busy Not to Pray Audio Book is two 60-minute CD’s or audio cassettes, available from InterVarsity Press.

This abridged version of Bill Hybels’s classic book on spending time with God will speak to you while you are doing ordinary tasks or taking a summer vacation road trip. You can hear and digest one short chapter in just a few minutes.

Subtitled Slowing Down to Be with God, this best-seller discusses topics such as “Heart-Building Habits,” “The Hurt of Unanswered Prayer,” “Prayer Busters,” “How to Hear God’s Leadings” and “What to Do with Leadings.” It’s full of personal stories and practical advice.

Of course, you may want the actual book instead. And if you can slow down enough, consider using the Too Busy Not to Pray Journal, which gives you bite-size portions of Hybels’s insights and lets you record your own.

Bill Hybels is pastor of Willow Creek Community Church in the Chicago suburbs, where over 15,000 attend each weekend.
