Abbie Smith is a recent graduate from Emory University. She has written a book to encourage Christian students to live radically for the glory of God during the potentially transforming college years.

Abbie started college at Emory University in 1999. As she moved into the university life Abbie realized that although her life had been filled with numerous means of happiness from the world’s eyes; a loving family, athletic ability, intellectual capability, and leadership qualities, there was something missing. There was something utterly silent in her life. Through the witness of numerous friends from InterVarsity at Emory University, Abbie came to see that this silence was the muted voice of God. After gaining a glimpse of the Good News, she accepted Christ during InterVarsity spring conference a few months after first hearing of his gift of salvation.

Being an avid reader and an eager young Christian, Abbie craved information from people in her stage of life on how to live as a Christian. After searching one bookstore after another, she quickly realized that the stories and experiences of the college years were often left untold. To fill this gap, Abbie felt led to write a book of just such stories and experiences. Through friends and contacts, she ultimately accumulated stories from Christian students at over 35 colleges and universities across the country. These stories cover areas such as Peer Pressure, Dorm Life, Dating, Academics and more. Abbie compiled them into a well written, helpful book to encourage the Christian student to maintain a strong Christian faith in college, living radically with passion for the glory of God.
