| A Process for Learning to Choose Wisely |
Dyann and I developed this page to communicate to graduating seniors the way we intentionally evaluate larger purchases and significant lifestyle choices. It's not very original, but maybe a little radical. Don't miss our Excel forms for house buying. (more info) by John & Dyann Egleston |

| Housing decision-making forms |
Applying the principles and method outlined in a "Process for Learning to Choose Wisely" to a recent decision, we took some of the pain out of comparing apples with oranges - and the math involved. The top worksheet was the basis for notes before, during and after visiting a property. The template worksheet categorizes and prioritizes observations according to our values. Once it's finalized for the decision at hand, it gets copied to subsequent worksheets, one for each scenario, often including the status quo. All of this could look very different for someone else. | Personal or household budget summary form |
This form has been used innumerable times to help students, new graduates and friends set up sustainable budgets. It's been adapted from the version Fred Neubert used in the mid-80s. While it comes without instructions (at this point), there is a companion Budget Category form. (more info) by John Egleston |

| Samples of Everyday Stewardship |
This piece grew out of a conviction that our lifestyles must be oriented by God's values - and from years of exploring very practical household economics with others. Now it's summarized in this article - published in flux, a magazine for new graduates. (more info) by Dyann Egleston |
