2008-2009 Scholarship
Affirmation of Christian Missions and Scholarship Purpose
The mission of Regent University is “Christian Leadership to Change the
World”. The purpose of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA (IVCF) is “to
establish and advance at colleges and universities witnessing communities
of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in
love for God, God’s Word, God’s people of every ethnicity and culture and
God’s purposes in the world”. Therefore, Regent University School of Law,
in partnership with IVCF, has established a scholarship for qualified
applicants affiliated with IVCF and called to the high responsibility of
Christian lawyering.
IVCF Scholarship Criteria
Only students who are admitted to the School of Law and have submitted all
required documentation will be considered for the scholarship.
Requirements include a Law School Financial Aid Application, an affiliation
statement with IVCF, and a letter of recommendation from IVCF. All
materials submitted for admission (personal statement, resume and faculty
recommendations) will also receive consideration toward the scholarship
decision.
The IVCF 2008-2009 Scholarship is based on the following LSAT/UGPA
criteria; however, final award decisions are subject to the discretion of
the law school:
. 161+ LSAT & 3.2 UPGA = $22,000 to full-tuition scholarship
. 158-160 LSAT & 3.2 UGPA = $16,000 to $22,000 Scholarship
. 155-157 LSAT & 3.2 UGPA = $8,000 to $16,000 scholarship
. 152-154 LSAT & 3.2 UGPA = up to a $8,000 scholarship

. Submit a Regent University School of Law Application for Admission
online at http://www.regent.edu/lawapplication.
. Submit a Regent University School of Law Financial Aid Application
online at http://www.regent.edu/lawfinances.
. Check “IVCF Scholarship” as indicated per the application
. State current affiliation with IVCF in the “Comments” box via the
online application
. Provide a letter of recommendation from a current staff member of
IVCF. This letter is in addition to the letters of recommendation
required for admission and may be received via mail or e-mail to the
addresses below.
