1. At the Baptism, 3:21-22 Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus
also had been baptized and was praying, the heaven was opened,

Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased.'
2. After a day of miracles, 4:42, 5:15-16 At daybreak he departed and went into a
deserted place. And the crowds were looking for him; and when they reached him, they
wanted to prevent him from leaving them. ...
5:15But now more than ever the word about Jesus spread abroad; many crowds would
gather to hear him and to be cured of their diseases.

places and pray.

42`Father, if you are willing, remove this
cup from me; yet, not my will but yours be done.
45When he got up from prayer, he came
to the disciples and found them sleeping because of grief,
46and he said to them, `Why are
you sleeping? Get up and pray that you may not come into the time of trial.'

what they are doing.' And they cast lots to divide his clothing...
