InterVarsity Christian Fellowship Leadership Process.
We would like you to consider leadership!

Please prayerfully answer these questions and turn in your form by

Here is a list of questions to think about as you pray and consider the
possibility of leadership with Cal Christian Fellowship. Our goal is to
partner with you to find God’s purposes for your involvement with
intervarsity next year.

Pray and take some time to think through and write out the answers to these
questions:

A. Getting to know you.

1. Please describe briefly your relationship with Jesus and how you have come to faith in him. 2. What is your church background? Where do you attend during the school year? In what ways, if any, do you serve these congregations? 3. Circle below words that describe you (as many or as few as you’d like). What has He been teaching you about others? d. Briefly describe disciplines that you have developed to grow your relationship with God. e. How would you describe your prayer life? When does it thrive, when do it struggle? 7. Your relationship with others. a. Briefly describe your relationships with friends. b. Briefly describe your relationships with non-believing friends. c. Do you have accountability relationships? d. Have you ever been discipled? By whom? What was your experience like? e. What is your view of a God-centered relationship with a person of the opposite gender? f. How would you feel working with someone of opposite gender? How would you feel being led by someone of opposite gender? g. What is your relationship with alcohol? What is your personal view on consumption of alcohol? How would you advise someone under 21 to think about alcohol? Turning 21 or over 21?

B. Leadership style, gifts, and availability.

1. Briefly describe your desire to be a leader with InterVarsity. 2. Gifts and passions. a. What do you think your spiritual and natural gifts are? b. What do you like to do for fun (that is, free time.)? c. What are some things you’d rather go get your teeth pulled than do? d. In what areas of leadership would you like to be involved or feel called to be involved? e. What areas of leadership would you definitely not want to do? f. Have you been on a mission trip before? Describe your experience. How has this been incorporated in your worldview? g. What does risk taking in ministry look like to you? Share one story where you shared some aspect of your faith with a non- Christian friend? 3. What is your availability for next year? a. What is your class load like next year? b. How often do you go home? c. Do you have a part-time job or internship? How many hours/week? d. What is your approximate gpa? (Flunking for Jesus helps no one. () e. How much time will you be willing to give to an intervarsity ministry next year? (hr/wk) 4. Can you attend the Chapter Camp May 29-June 2? Would you be able to attend the Vision Retreat in August? (dates TBA, reserve the week before welcome week) What other areas of training would you be interested in attending? (Mention specific areas of interest.)

C. Vision for the Community and Campus.

1. How would you describe the current “state” of our fellowship? 2. What are some aspects of IVCF that you would like to see stay the same and what would you like to see change? 3. How would you like to be involved in advancing the Christ-likeness of the fellowship? 4. What vision do you have for the group’s future, both as a fellowship and our impact on the campus?
