Intended for international students (especially from tropical countries) who are about to experience their first winter in the USA, this 1-page handout explains how to stay warm outside in the winter by wearing the right clothing. The author has a Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering, is an Eagle Scout, and has used the information shared in this article to actually stay warm river rafting in temperatures just above freezing, snow skiing, and camping out in a tent at -12F (-24C) with a wind chill below -30F (-34C).
