Role Description - IT Manager
Summary
This is an Information Technology Leadership position responsible for project management,
resource management, supervision of IT professionals, and communication of IT services and
support. This individual is responsible for IT strategic and/or tactical planning, implementation,
operation and evaluation for the Infrastructure & Facilities, Application Testing & Support, and
Process Operations teams. Additionally, the individual is responsible for effective communication
and workflow monitoring among the teams and the organization. This position is responsible for
identifying and recommending technology resources needed to support the company's goals.
This position reports to the Engineering Team leader. The team leaders of the Infrastructure &
Facilities, Application Testing & Support, and Process Operations teams will report to the IT
Manager position.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Direct, facilitate and/or provide strategic and tactical planning for the IT teams in support
of the company's goals
2. Develop cohesive backup and recovery strategies in compliance with ISO 17799 in
support of organizations DRP.
3. Develop and manage IT programs and services to support organizational goals through
appropriate use of IT resources.
4. Develop and manage budget and budget reporting for technology, services, and
personnel.
5. Provide resources and guidance for the professional development and training of the IT
staff.
6. Oversee the design, creation and implementation of a reports structure necessary to
monitor the health of the IT organization.
7. Lead and or participate in IT committees, forums or projects supporting the continuous
improvement of technology for the organization and its customer's needs.
8. Create opportunities for col aboration among IT team members and the development or
business teams' staff.
9. Research, design and implement appropriate technology applications to support
communication, access to information, improved productivity, and instruction.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.
