UC Berkeley InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA
Undergraduate Covenant
We, students of UC Berkeley's InterVarsity Christian Fellowship write this
covenant to ensure a commitment to a shared mission and a relationship
between our sister fellowships. As followers of Jesus, in response to God's love,
grace and truth: we are working to establish and advance a witnessing
community who follows Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in love for God, God's
Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture and God's purposes in the
world. We together are challenged toward pursuing biblical unity, equality, and
partnership on campus amidst a diversity of religious and cultural faith
experiences.
As a unified community of Christian Fellowship comprised of our distinct
ministries, we agree to communicate with one another throughout the year, as
well as to an annual review and renewal of the covenant. We understand that
the fulfillment of each fellowship's mission is intertwined with the fulfillment of one
another's mission. Consequently, we will honor our partnerships with biblical
challenge, thanksgiving and blessing.
The following principles are intended to be guidelines for our practical outworking
of partnership on campus and not intended to limit relationship, and may be
changed by mutual consent of fellowship leaders.
