Jim Friedericks, Link Staff Coordinator for staff in Eurasia

"B" has been in her host country for 3 years. As we visited her university and watched her interact with staff and students, what we saw was a joyful interaction of friends. But it wasn’t always that way.
Two years as the only Link Staff in that city have been especially challenging. A year ago, lonely and frustrated, she was ready to leave any way she could. But, as she learned more Russian, and built new friendships, her small apartment became the place for students to gather. They meet every week to study the Bible together and openly discuss life and faith.
Now "B", who is scheduled to leave at the end of the school year, is full of joy knowing that her part of planting a group of students will last. The students are committed to being together and reaching out to others with the gospel.
