Chain Reaction in East Asia

S., Link staff in E. Asia
2008-05-08

My friend became a follower of Jesus about a year and a half ago. When he graduated (in December) and went home for the winter holiday, he led a freshman student to Christ. Both of them are from a very small ethnic minority group here that subscribes to another faith tradition that traces its roots through Abraham.

Because of the social and religious restrictions of their minority group, it's difficult for them to connect with other believers from their background. When family and friends find out about their new faith in Jesus, new believers face harsh treatment and persecution.

Even so, when I talk to my friends I see the peace and enthusiasm they have when they share the gospel with others from their minority group. I'm excited to think of how God will work through my friend as he continues to actively share his new faith. Who will be the next person in the chain reaction?
