After spending a lot of time with Christians and in Scripture, Jason is now more interested in answers than questions. What's God have to do with my life? Does He answer prayer? When? Why? Why not? Does God make bad things happen? How can I know him? How will God answer Jason?
Shelley offered to be my language tutor. She and Shannon started reading the Bible with another worker last year. When that worker left, these 2 students wanted to continue, so I have inherited them! It's good for them, and it's great for me! Not only does our time together connect me with God and His purposes for these campuses and students, but these women have become friends who I look forward to seeing every week. Shelley has a soft heart and is beginning to understand Jesus.
Will she have the courage to say 'yes' to a life with Him?
Shannon is Shelley's classmate and close friend. Shannon is a leader - well-spoken and intelligent. She's curious about the Bible and what it has to say about her life. She believes she has been misled by the teaching she has received growing up in this country and is looking to find something more. Her questions challenge me and her insights into Scripture inspire me!
Will she have eyes to see the truth about Jesus?
Clarissa, a Junior, was very influenced by her participation in a Global Project in our city 2 years ago. But as an ethnic minority in this country, she has a hard time seeing how her ethnic identity, which is intimately linked with Buddhism, could mesh with following Jesus. Recently, Clarissa met a teacher of her same ethnicity who is also a follower of Jesus. This really blew her mind!
Will God use that teacher and my relationship with Clarissa to open a door for her into a relationship with Jesus?
Since becoming a Christian last month, Harvey is excited about Jesus and Scripture - and about sharing his new hope with others. But that can be a little tricky for a person in this culture with his religious background.
How will God use Harvey in the lives of family and friends?
