His Mysterious Ways

My teammate was having repeated nightmares about her grandmother dying. Though she didn’t give much thought to the dreams, I realized that perhaps God was placing that burden specifically on her heart for a reason. Sitting beside her on the bus, I felt compelled to tell her that she really needed to share the Gospel with her grandmother right now, whether it be in person, on the phone, or in a letter. We prayed for an opportunity and for the right words to say.

My friend returned home to London the next day to see her grandmother, only to find her in the hospital! She explained the Gospel as clearly and simply as she could. Her grandmother accepted Christ into her heart at that moment and passed away a few hours later.

How EASY it would have been to discount those dreams as something other than God’s prompting! Take a moment to consider the subtle ways God might be nudging you to accomplish something for Him this very day. You might just be surprised to discover how His mysterious ways are subtly woven throughout YOUR day and, most importantly, what amazing things can happen when you are tuned into them!
