Cornell International Christian Fellowship
This international student fellowship group has been in existence at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York now for over two student generations. It is an excellent example of the type of fellowships that are springing up all over North America.
The group is culturally diverse, with over 40 persons in regular attendance representing over 58 countries participating in the last seven years!
Inter Varsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF) has particularly been trying to start such fellowships, often calling them "International Student Witnessing Communities" because they have such strong potential for effectiveness in outreach to other international students on campus.
The stated purpose of the Cornell International Christian Fellowship (CICF) is "to serve the international community at Cornell through hospitality and service, and to provide an opportunity to share the good news of Jesus Christ by example and by word of mouth."
CICF is a student-led organization that was initiated in 1994 by several students in Inter Varsity's Graduate Christian Fellowship to address the spiritual and social needs of their international friends who face the challenges of studies and life far from home.
