APRIL 29-MAY 5

29 Praise God that 80 students from Weber State University in Ogden, UT, attended chapter camp, strengthening their leadership skills and relationships with one another.

30 Pray that 175 students from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign attend chapter camp in May. Ask God to develop relationships among chapter members and enrich participants’ spiritual lives as they worship and study Scripture in community.

1 Pray for Marcia Munger, campus volunteer, as she meets students and works to begin planting an InterVarsity ministry at Green River Community College near Tacoma, WA.

Also pray for Michelle French, Alex Dingle & Steve Yackey, Chapter Planters at University of Cincinnati
Michelle is planting a Greek chapter, pray that students would own the chapter. Alex is a first-time undergrad planter; pray that God would lead Alex to missional students on campus. Pray for Steve as he helps Alex and establishes an Arts student Bible study.

2 Students in northern Minnesota are preparing for Chapter Focus Week. Pray for participants from Bemidji State University, the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, and the University of Minnesota Duluth, as they deepen relationships with Christ and one another.

3 On this National Day of Prayer, as you pray for our political leaders, we ask that you would also pray for officials in Tennessee. Tennessee lawmakers this week passed legislation in support of Christian students at Vanderbilt. For more information see this story by CBN News or check the latest links on our Campus Access page.

The bill is now on the desk of Governor Bill Haslam. Please pray for wisdom for Governor Haslam as he considers various options. And continue to pray for a change of heart for Vanderbilt leaders, that they would make their nondiscrimination policy fair to all student organizations.

And pray for students in the multiethnic chapter at the University of West Florida in Pensacola as they seek God’s guidance, step into leadership positions for the coming school year, and disciple younger students in following Christ.

4 Joel and Rene, students at Nebraska’s Metropolitan Community College South Omaha Campus, are planting an InterVarsity chapter. Pray that God uses these two Latino leaders who desire to share the Gospel.

5 Thank God for graduating students from the Black Scholars & Professionals and Graduate Christian Fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Ask God to bless these graduates as they make future plans and begin careers.
