Golf Marathon

Welcome to the 2008 Golf Marathon! This years 100-hole event will be held at Pebble Brook Golf Course in Noblesville, IN on Friday September 12, 2008. Each year, thousands of dollars are raised to help cover the cost of registration for hundreds of Greek students from all over the United States attending Greek Conference.  Participation and fundraising efforts last year alone made the following impact at the Greek Conferences held in Indianapolis and Charlotte:

• 101 students made decisions for Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior
• 463 students committed to prayer and Bible study with God
• 303 students committed to getting actively involved in their campus fellowship
• 467 students committed to share their faith with their friends

This year the Greek Ministry has set goals to raise nearly $50,000 to help underwrite the cost of Greek Conference and to provide more opportunities for our student leaders to passionately recruit their friends to Conference without having to worry about cost. It is our hope that Golf Marathon can go along way to covering this amount.

Whether you are an avid golfer, just starting out, love the idea of caddying, or just want to come and be a part of the event, we have a place for you at the Golf Marathon. We do ask that anyone, whether they come to play, caddy or just volunteer helps us by committing to raise $2,500 for the event. 

I'm In. What Do I Do Now?
Glad you asked. There are a few important things that you'll need to do:

     Make your commitment official by filling out and returning THIS FORM*. Additionally we ask you to not only commit to the event, but to also commit to jumpstart your fundraising by sponsoring yourself at $1 a hole.  This will help you in your fundraising efforts by telling others you’re sponsoring yourself and challenging them to do at least the same.  Don’t forget, you can always do more, but we ask for at least a $1 a hole commitment to participate in the event. You can either mail your sponsorship in with your form, or donate online at www.greekiv.org/golf

   Once you do that we will send you the official fundraising package with brochures to send to potential sponsors. Be sure to let us know how many brochures you think you'll want to send out. We recommend asking at least 100 people to partner with you in the event. We will automatically send you 100 brochures in the kit unless you specify otherwise. Conversely you can do all your support raising virtually by e-mailing them THIS PDF and having them return THIS FORM*. A sample e-mail to send to possible supporters is also located HERE.
