Indy Volunteers
| Greek Conference is moving! We are taking over the entire Indianapolis Marriott East property on Jan. 30 - Feb. 2 for our annual flagship conference. This year promises to be bigger, better and more impactful than ever, and WE NEED YOUR HELP! God uses this conference to impact the lives of thousands of students, and this year we are asking our Lord to bring over 800 students from the heartland and across the country. Will you consider joining us this weekend to help serve these students and make their experience unforgettable? There are a variety of roles in which to serve, and we will need more than 150 volunteers to make this weekend happen. Read ahead to see how you can serve.

Table Group Facilitators |
| Small Group Facilitators are a vital component to the success of our five concentrations: Encounter - Connect - Thrive - Lead - Influence. Your job includes sheparding a table group of students by debriefing with them the talks and topics discussed, and sharing from your life experience. This year in an attempt to foster more natuaral conversations and community in table groups we are not pre-assigning these groups before the weekend. So you could get a table of complete strangers, or one full of Greeks who have decided to experience the concentration together. Most likely your table will fall somewhere in the middle. We do ask that you spend an hour or so prior to the Conference looking over the contents of the concentration that your director will send you. This will help you be prepared to share from your experiences with the students you work with throughout the weekend. |
|
You will receive an email with your concentration assignment and packet about a week before the conference. Greek InterVarsity asks that we fulfill three primary requirements when recruiting Table Group Facilitators:
- That they be strong Christians, living a life worthy of His calling
- That they have experience in a small group Bible study setting
- That they can relate to these college students(note: it is not necessary that they were affiliated with a Greek organization in college).
This weekend commitment involves attending the conference with the students from 5PM Friday, January 30th to 1PM Sunday, February 1st. This is a vital volunteer role at conference, so please prayerfully consider joining us for the weekend in this role!

What are Volunteer Costs for the Weekend? |
 |
Commute to Conference$65
Quad Occupancy:$130/person
Triple Occupancy:$155/person
Double Occupancy:$220/person
Single Occupancy:$300
Registration requires full payment or $50 deposit with the balance being paid when you check in at Greek Conference.
The cost to participate the entire weekend includes housing at the hotel and the Saturday night dinner and party. We ask our volunteers to cover their conference expenses to keep students’ costs as low as possible. You will also want to have money for meals throughout the weekend. There are many choices within walking distance of the hotel.
We don’t want money to be a reason that keeps people from serving at Greek Conference. If you want to volunteer and are in financial need, we ask that you e-mail the Greek InterVarsity office and we will see how we can work it out with you. |
This sounds great! How do I sign up?
You can register and make payments online or fill out the volunteer registration form and mail it in with a payment for the conference. The earlier you register for the conference, the better your chances are of being assigned to areas you are interested in. If you have any questions, please call David Shepley at 919-452-7437 or e-mail.
