What I Should Know
What happens at Greek Conference?
The question should be what doesn’t happen at Greek Conference! We’ll have an inspiring and empowering keynote speaker, in depth training and personal development in concentrations, live music, caffeine close by, a dance party, student’s sharing their stories, videos, bookstore, time to hang with others from your campus, time to meet other Greeks, and SO MUCH MORE!!! I’ve already registered, but now I can’t come. Can I get a refund?
It depends…You’re required when you register to pay the $50 deposit or the full amount. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Unfortunatly, if you only paid the deposit, that means no refund. If you’ve paid the full amount, we can refund what you paid MINUS the deposit. So, if you paid $120, you’d get $70 back. You’ll need to contact the Greek Conference Registrar (317-255-5530) if you need a refund. If you paid by credit card, we have to put it back on the original credit card that was used…so make sure you have that. If you paid by check, we’ll have to cut a check and send it your way.
Refunds will only be given to those who cancel before 3pm on the first day of the Conference.
I’m not in a fraternity/sorority house yet, but plan on joining one. Can I still come?
YOU BET! We will be talking about different areas that are relevant to Greek life and will be of interest to you if you’re thinking about going Greek. It will also be a great time to talk with other Greeks and get a taste of what Greek life is like!
How does rooming work?
Glad you asked. If there are four (4) people who want to room with each other and if all 4 people have paid their registration fees IN FULL and have a $0 balance due, you will be roomed with the people you selected when you registered.Remember—everyone has to be paid IN FULL!
What if I want to request roommates and haven’t paid in full?
If 4 people want to room together and at least one of the 4 hasn’t paid in full, you can still room together, but have to wait till you get to Conference. Once there, all 4 people will need to walk through registration/check-in together to get your room keys together.
Will my room be next to my friend’s room?
We can’t make any guarantees as to who your neighbors will be in the room next door. We can’t even guarantee that you’ll be on the same floor. One thing we can guarantee is that you’ll be in the same hotel and will have lots of time to hang out and see each other over the weekend!
Money’s really tight. Is there financial help available?
We have a list of ways to look for financial help. We want to help as much as we can to get you to conference. If nothing on the list works, you can contact us…but really give some of the suggestions a try. There’s money out there…just waiting for someone to ask for it!
I can’t come, but my buddy wants to come. Can I transfer my registration?
Sort of. If you have only paid the $50 deposit, sorry, but it’s non-refundable and non-transferable. If you’ve paid more than the $50, all your friend has to do is register online and pay the $50 deposit. From there, you need to contact the Greek Conference Registrar at 317-255-5530 or through email and let her know you can’t come, you’ve paid in full and you want your refund to transfer to your buddy. Finally, if you paid a different rate than your friend qualifies for, they'll need to make up the difference.
How do I register?
This is the easy part. You can register online in less than 5 minutes or you can mail in a registration form with a check. Once you’re registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Make sure to look for that as it contains important information about the weekend. You can find paper registration forms by clicking here.
I didn’t receive a confirmation email. What now???
First off, check your Spam Mail area. If your email system doesn’t recognize who an e-mail is from, it’ll send it to Spam. If it’s not there, contact the Greek Conference Registrar. We’ll look you up to see if you’re registered. If you are, we can send another Confirmation Email you way. If you’re not showing up, we’ll have you register again. Don’t worry, if you get charged twice, we’ll take care of it! Please, please, PLEASE don’t register again without talking to the Registrar. This can result in your card being charged twice. When in doubt, contact the Registrar!
I want to switch concentrations. What do I do?
Just send the Greek Conference Registrar an email as to what your new choices are and we’ll get you switched. Please only switch one time. There are no guarantees as to which one you will get. However, the earlier you register, the better your chances are at receiving your first choice.
Are meals provided for the weekend?
The entire conference will be having a dinner together on Saturday night before the General Session. You will need to bring money for all other meals - breakfast, lunch, and whatever else you need to make it through the day. There are lots of food options near the hotel.
I just graduated. Do I register as a student or as a volunteer?
We’d prefer for you to register as a volunteer. We always need volunteers and there are lots of ways you can help. We need Table Group Facilitators in the concentrations, but if you don’t feel comfortable doing that, we have tons other areas where you can use your gifts. Check the Volunteer link on your left for more information. Also, some campuses get a suite for their students to hang out in during break times or do other special activities. They usually need someone to help with cleaning up and setting out snacks and stuff for the students. If you are interested in doing that, contact the staff at your campus. They can give you more details.
I'm flying in. What should I know
You will fly in to the Indianapolis International Airport. Shuttle information will be available closer to the Conference date. If you are flying, please make sure to let us know.
