What Can I Expect?
THANK YOU for thinking about attending Greek Conference!
| I attended my first Conference as a sophomore in college 11 years ago, and God has shown up in major ways in my life at every one ever since. Put plainly, if you open yourself up to what God might have in store during the weekend, He WILL meet you and transform you in a new way! Whether it be through the keynote speaker, the discussions in your concentration or just the late night conversation with friends old and new, this Conference WILL impact your life - if you open your eyes and your hearts to what the Lord might be doing in you. So come - bring your questions, your skepticism, your baggage, your fears, your burdens - whatever they may be, and allow the person of Jesus Christ to meet you this weekend. I promise you that if you let Him, He will! |

Will we have any fun? |
|
Would it be a Greek event if we didnt'? Of COURSE we have fun! In addition to the great fun you'll have interacting with other Greeks during meals and concentrations, we have some amazing things planned for you during our 'pre-game' and 'after hours' festivities. Wanna know what that entails? Check back for more clues, but think about a networking lounge set up by Greeks for Greeks, a dance party and more.... |
Who's the keynote speaker? |
| Our speaker this year is the National Director of Greek InterVarsity, Andy Dalton, who is a product of the University culture. He moved with his family to Indianapolis, IN, in 1978, grew up in the suburbs, and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1990. He went on to Purdue University, where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha International Fraternity, and graduated in 1994, Magna Cum Laude, with a B.S. in Industrial Management.
During Andy’s junior year at Purdue, he felt called to start sharing his faith with his fraternity brothers. Before graduating he had helped start a Bible study in his fraternity house and a campus wide Greek ministry at Purdue. Throughout those final two years, the Lord developed a heart within Andy to reach the stereotypical “Animal House” Greek student for Jesus Christ. He also gave him a dream of seeing this happen not only at Purdue, but also nationwide. | |
|
Upon graduation, Andy joined InterVarsity and planted the Greek ministry at Indiana University. In 1998, he assumed the role of Regional Greek Coordinator in the Great Lakes West. Andy now leads a team of 50 full-time Greek staff in serving over 2000 Greek students on 61 campuses nationwide. In 1998, Andy married his wife Kristen who is also on staff with InterVarsity working with Greek students. They have two daughters, Madelyn (7) and Abigail (5). They currently live in Carmel, IN. Andy is a sports enthusiast, traveling speaker and avid landscaper. Andy’s education from Purdue is not to be confused with his life long allegiance to Indiana University basketball and Indianapolis Colts football. |
