Greek Conference Attendees at the Indianapolis Conference
Important National Updateby Andy Dalton, National DirectorIn September of 1994, I was a 21 year old recent college graduate and heading to the student union at Indiana University for my very first student appointment as a staff of Greek InterVarsity. Susan was my only contact on campus and her name had been given to me by her older sister who was a friend of mine from Purdue. Three minutes into our conversation Susan informed me that she showed up only as a favor to her sister, she was a heavy partier and had no plans on changing, but that she was willing to meet with me once a week in the union. God had a better plan. A few years later Susan had placed her faith in Jesus Christ, started a Bible Study in her sorority house and became the first ever President of Greek IV at Indiana. ![]()
Pray. Serve. Giveby Sonja Greiwe, Alumni DirectorI am always humbled by Greek IV alumni especially those who volunteer at Greek Conference every year. Who takes vacation days from work, pays to fly to Indy or Charlotte and then pays the conference fee just to volunteer and hang out with Greek students for a weekend? Nearly 100 alumni volunteered at conferences this year and dozens more provided money for student scholarships making it easier for Greeks to attend. Conferences happen because of alumni. It’s that simple. ![]()
Greek Conference Changes Livesby Eric Holmer, Communications DirectorGreek Conference. A title that for many of you elicits fond memories. Perhaps it was the first time you saw that faith in fraternity life could exist or even your first experience with Jesus. Likely you met new friends, learned how to study the Bible, discovered a missions trip or set your life course. I can tell you from experience that God does all of that and more every single year. ![]() ![]()
