Philosophy of Ministry
Primary Objective:
Reaching Fraternity and Sorority students for Jesus Christ
Facts:
- Over 750,000 students are nationally involved in the Greek System.
- A very small minority of these students are currently being reached by campus, church and parachurch ministries.
Greek Alumni make up:
- 30% of Fortune 500 Executives
- 48% of all US Presidents
- 40% of all US Supreme Court Justices
- 30% of US Congress
- 42% of US Senate
* Less than 3% of the US population is Greek
What if:
These students learn how to commit their lives to Christ?
These students learn how to share their faith?
These students are equipped to be Christian leaders, parents, and members of tomorrow’s society?
Greek Ministry Goals:
- To evangelize a unique culture, that has historically been closed off and condemned as pagan.
- To empower students to live a life of obedience, to walk personally with the Lord, to study His Word, and to share Jesus with their friends.
- To equip students, who will become tomorrow’s leaders and parents, how to make Jesus Christ ruler of every part of their future lives and how to share the gospel in their communities, careers and families.
Greek Ministry Method:
- Discipleship:
Investing weekly into individual student leaders to be ambassadors in their Greek chapters and the world.
- House Ministry
Student led evangelistic Bible studies, personal evangelism, prayer meetings, and student-to-student discipleship.
- Local Church
Commitment on behalf of staff and students to be active in and fed by the local church.
- On and Off Campus Events
Speakers, retreats and outreach events as well as summer training camps, overseas and urban mission projects, and the National Greek Conference.
- Large Group Meetings
Weekly time of encouragement, fellowship, prayer, training, teaching, nurturing and worshipping for the student leaders that also provide outreach opportunity.
