Finding God: For Those Seeking

If you are trying to solidify your own belief system and would appreciate an opportunity to investigate the claims of Jesus, come to learn and grow as we give particular time and attention to the questions you may have as someone who is thinking about whether or not you would like to follow Jesus. Our schedule and the topics we will discuss together are designed to give you space as you seek God and motivation for your investigation of Jesus.

Following Jesus

“I long for greater intimacy with Jesus.” “I want to experience the freedom that comes from obedience.” “How can I tell others about Jesus?” Have you ever thought these things? Jesus wants us to know him, not just about him! We can experience his presence and power in our lives by spending time alone with him, by investing in relationships with other believers, by trusting him in obedience, and by sharing God openly and honestly with our friends who don’t yet know him. Come join us as we learn to encounter Jesus and follow him in our daily lives.

The Other Six Days: Worship in the Real World

Sometimes we feel like we live in two totally different worlds. One is filled with God, fellowship, InterVarsity activities, Bible study, prayer and worship. The other is filled with classes, papers, watching TV, work, and having fun with our friends. If you struggle with integrating these two worlds, then this track is for you. We will explore the relationship between the sacred and the secular, and how it intersects in worshipping God with our whole life.

Christians, Sex, and Intimacy

All of us were created by God as sexual beings with desires to have intimate relationships. That was not a mistake. But on a dialy basis bombarded by messages about our sexuality that leave us hungry for fulfilling answers and for honest dialog. In this track we hope to:

* Learn from God about His perfect intent for our sexuality
* Addres the realities of living in a sexually broken world
* Experience how the power of the cross would effect us and
* Take steps towards God's plan for me as a sexual being

The Art of Making Disciples

Throughout Scriptures, we see God as the Creator of all things, but, as Christians, we are told to make only one thing: disciples. Faith that Lasts: For those preparing to Graduate

Where is Jesus leading you after college?

Where is Jesus leading you after college? Begin to build a faith that will work--on the job, at home, in graduate school, or wherever Jesus is taking you.  Consider what it means to be faithful in areas of stewardship and discerning God's will; and hear stories from mentors currently living for Jesus in their workplace, including nurturing a daily relationship with God, dealing with disappointment, finding a church home and maintaining life-giving relationships.  Jesus is waiting for you out there. Are you ready to follow?

Walk the Word

We can think of many reasons not to share the gospel: "I don't want to be rejected." "What if someone asks me something and I can't answer it?" "I don't have the gift of evangelism." Evangelism is intimidating. But it can also be an amazing and exciting way to live. In Walk the Word your ideas of sharing the gospel will be transformed and you will learn what it is to live a lifestyle of evangelism.

Transforming Power: Doing Justice, Loving Mercy

I’ve been wrestling with some big questions: What can I do for people who are starving on the other side of the world? Does the Bible say anything about politics? But I also need to develop my Bible study skills! It would be great to get some really practical Bible study training while learning how to be a good steward of my belongings, opportunities, and education. Hone your inductive Bible study skills and learn to meditate on Scripture as we explore biblical passages about power and powerlessness, money and poverty, and how God turns our expectations upside down.

Discipleship of the Mind

Ever wondered why the top people in most professions are men and women with no Christian faith? Why is it that we Christians have gotten a reputation for being simpleminded and intellectual lightweights? God gave us minds to help us love him and serve him, so how do we love God with our minds? Come gain a biblical vision for loving God with your mind. Hear from others what it means to love God with your mind as an artist, engineer, historian, mathematician, nurse, scientist or other career. Look at your passions and interests and explore how God is calling you to bring transformation to the world by discipling your mind. As John Stott says, "Your Mind Matters to God!"

Prerequisite: Following Jesus, The Other Six Days, Fall Fest, equivalent training, or staff signature
