Lots has been happening as we continue to develop the program for Following Christ 2008 (FC08). Here is some of the breaking news.
A team of InterVarsity staff recently completed an intensive course on intercessory prayer, designed in part to extend the ongoing prayer support around FC08. These folks will be deeply in prayer onsite during the conference, too.
Rusty Pritchard, National Director for Outreach with the Evangelical Environmental Network and editor of Creation Care quarterly, has joined the FC08 team to chair our interdisciplinary God’s Green Kingdom.
Steve Hayner, Peachtree Assoc. Prof. of Evangelism and Church Growth at Columbia Theological Seminary (not to mention former president of InterVarsity), will be leading the topical track, Doubting Jesus.
We’ve launched a series of homemade videos from the FC08 conference director, Jon Boyd. Each one will feature a giveaway or special deal, so watch for new videos coming out every other week and tell your friends!
Prof. Anne C. Bailey (History, SUNY–Binghamton) has joined our team of plenary speakers, bringing her own commitment to living a life of Christian scholarship as well as her insight into human flourishing as a scholar of trans-Atlantic slavery.
