Monday and Tuesday morning at Following Christ 2008, we will be taking time to study God’s Word together, assembling by disciplinary or topical tracks.

The method of study we will use is manuscript Bible study, which allows for individual observation and reflection as well as small- and large-group processing. These sessions will be led by InterVarsity staff who are well versed and trained in leading this type of Scripture study.

The text we will be studying together is from the book of Colossians (1:9-23 and 1:24-2:15), and a manuscript of the entirety of Colossians is included in your FC08 handbook. This text certainly speaks into our conference theme of human flourishing. In fact it does so by reminding us of the centrality of Christ and the Gospel as our source and hope in this endeavor.

It is our hope and prayer that our time spent in God’s Word together will deeply enrich and anchor our entire conference experience.
