At the Following Christ 2008 conference, we gather people active in the powerful institutions of the world — academia, business, government, the media, medicine, the courts — in order to challenge and encourage one another in living as Christ's followers in the world.
That makes this conference a matter for serious prayer. Will you join us in asking God for his will to be done? Here are some points to help guide your prayers.
Pray all would be invited, many would register, and every seat would be filled.
One purpose of this conference is to answer the question, “What is human flourishing?”
Pray for God to inspire the speakers, track chairs, and worship leader as they prepare to help us answer that question.
Pray for them and for all the registrants to honestly address whether they are flourishing personally. If not, how can we cooperate with God to bring change in our own lives?
Pray for all to hear how they can contribute to the flourishing of others.
We have many practical needs for the conference.
Pray for the health and protection of the conference planning leaders and their families.
Pray the funding for the conference will be secured.
A conference of this size and influence has the potential to make a powerful impact on many lives for the sake of the Kingdom of God. For this reason, we are praying regularly that God would be glorified in and through this conference and through the lives of all who attend.
