Following Christ 2008: Conference Audio

  • Welcome to FC08 (partial) by conference director Jonathan Boyd and InterVarsity president Alec Hill. Duration: 5:50.
  • Mary Kate Morse (with introduction by Kathy Tuan-MacLean) spoke on “Why Aren’t We Flourishing?” Duration: 35:00.
  • N. T. Wright begins, his series of three expositions on the book of Colossians and human flourishing by focusing on the topic of wisdom (with introduction by Bob Fryling). Duration: 51:58.
  • Jeff Van Duzer spoke on “How Business Contributes to Human Flourishing” (introduced by Kathy Tuan-MacLean). Duration: 35:42.
  • Anne C. Bailey spoke on “What Is God Doing Now?” (introduced by Kathy Tuan-MacLean). Duration: 39:36.
  • Carmen Acevedo Butcher spoke on “Cultivating Spiritual Humus” (introduced by Kathy Tuan-MacLean). Duration: 24:48.
  • Francis Collins spoke on “Science as Worship” (introduced by Kathy Tuan-MacLean). Duration: 56:26.
  • The Bosscher-Hammond Prize winners were announced on the final day of FC08. The Prizes are introduced by Cam Anderson, director of InterVarsity’s Graduate and Faculty Ministries, with the winners announced by Andy Crouch. Duration: 11:37.
  • Andy Crouch gave the final plenary talk and wrap-up at FC08. Duration: 20:15.
  • Michael Lindsay spoke on “Powerful Faith” during the “Exploring Privilege and Redeeming Power” Day Ahead event. Duration: 1:15:09.
