Graduate & Faculty Ministries: Privacy Policy
InterVarsity Christian Fellowship's Graduate & Faculty Ministries respect you, so we treat with respect any
information that you submit to us when you contact us online,
by email, phone, fax, or mail.
This statement discloses the privacy practices for the Graduate & Faculty
Ministries (GFM) website. We are deeply committed to respecting
your privacy, and wish to clearly state what we do with the
following information you might submit to us on the site.
What personally identifiable information is collected
Depending on what you do on this site, personally identifiable
information collected may range from none (just visiting) to
extensive (filling out required and optional fields in an online
registration form).
How the information is used
We use the information for the purposes of communicating with
you as requested by you, or with regards to your plans to participate
in this website or in GFM events or activities.
With whom the information will be shared
The information you provide on this site may occasionally
be shared with third parties we regard as partners in ministry
for the purposes of alerting you to events or opportunities
of likely interest. Members of the Emerging Scholars Network
will have controlled access to colleagues' contact information
for the sole purpose of academic or spiritual collaboration.
But personal information you provide will never be released
for marketing purposes.
This site's opt-out policy
Any email list you sign up for will provide the capability
for you to opt-out at any time.
GFM's website and your privacy
We respect your right to privacy and we understand that our
visitors need to be in control of their personal information.
We also want to present information on the GFM website that
is tailored to the needs of our visitors. For this reason,
we may ask you to register or to provide personal information
when you visit certain areas of the site, submit your own comments
or reviews or questions, or subscribe to a newsletter. We will
use the personal information you share with us to ensure the
content and services that we provide on the site are tailored
to your current and future needs.
If you provide the GFM website with your mailing address or
telephone number, InterVarsity may use this information to
alert you to special information. If you provide your email
address, we may contact you via email as well. If you do not
want us to contact you, you may opt out when you provide personal
information or contact GFM directly. If you choose not to register
or provide personal information, you can still visit most of
the GFM web pages. However, you will not have access to areas
that require personal identification and won't be able to participate
in discussions or interaction on the site.
How GFM will protect your personal information
We will protect the personal information that you share with
us. If you register on-line, we will use your credit card number
only to process your payment. We will not use your personal
information for marketing purposes. If we request demographic
information, we will not share information about you as an
individual with third parties. If we do share demographic information
with third parties, we will give them aggregate information
only.
How to update your personal information
You can help GFM maintain the accuracy of your personal information
by notifying us when you change your address, phone number,
or email address. If at any time you wish to update your information
or stop receiving communication from us, please contact
us. Please include your old and new contact information
so that we can make the appropriate corrections.
GFM would like to receive your comments and questions about
