From the Intercessor: Over 1,800 Emerging Scholars

From InterVarsity's national prayer newsletter, The Intercessor, for the week of July 10, 2005:

"Please thank God for the over 1,800 graduate students, faculty, and other Christian scholars who have now joined the Emerging Scholars Network."

We are grateful to God for how he is gathering together scholars who are committed to following his call in the academic world.

As you offer prayers of thanksgiving, would you also join us in praying for the Emerging Scholars Network Mentoring Program? It has been one of our chief planning efforts throughout the past year, but we are waiting for God to provide a key administrative member of our support team in order to make our vision a reality.

We believe that the mentoring of scholars who seek the Kingdom of God is a crucial spiritual undertaking, and as such it requires the spiritual work of prayer as well as of our best planning and organization efforts. Thank you for joining us in prayer!
