GFM Launches New Website
After many months of planning and technical development, InterVarsity's Graduate & Faculty Ministries are pleased to have launched our new website.
Actually a constellation of five (and soon, six) sites, the GFM umbrella includes dedicated sections for Faculty Ministry, MBA Ministry, the Religious & Theological Studies Fellowship, and the Emerging Scholars Network. (Navigation to these sections of the site appears at the left, on each page.)
What's not necessarily apparent to the casual observer is the top-drawer technology that underlies the new GFM site. Developed by InterVarsity's crack Web Team (especially developers Lydia Sidrak and Tim Miller and team leader Nathan Lenz), the content-management system behind the scenes gives GFM's content editors unprecedented power to publish and manage a wide range of assets — from news stories (like the one you're reading) and event announcements to images and ministry resources. It even enables publication of multiple formats of a single item, so that PDF versions of many of our resources will make it easy for grad students, faculty, and IVCF staff to take full advantage of the material here.
Of special note are the dynamic related-content links appearing at the foot of most news stories, events, and resources. We hope that this makes it easy to find what you were looking for — and maybe even more.
We hope you enjoy the new site and that it's a benefit to your spiritual and professional growth.
