Marisha Collins, a Boston College graduate student in biology, is the founder and crafter of Identity Hair and Skin Care. The idea for this business came from a desire for affordable quality products for her own hair and skin, making use of ingredients that were natural and ideal for that purpose.

Her professional background in laboratory science helped her in designing and testing homemade recipes. Experimenting with these natural combinations led to a hobby making bar soaps, lotions, hair oils and creams and eventually a small business. She currently does the crafting and selling of Identity products part-time and sells them at craft fairs around Massachusetts, as well as online.
