BSAP Featured Speaker: James Huguley
James P. Huguley is a doctoral student at Harvard Graduate School of Education. His research focuses on psychosocial issues related to achievement disparities by race and class at the secondary school level. James is a former Editor for the Harvard Educational Review, and co-editor of the 2007 volume “The Opportunity Gap”. James is a member of the Life Change Christian Church in Providence, RI, and serves as Advisory Board Chairman for the non-profit organization God’s Warriors. James is also on the leadership team for Harvard-MIT Black Graduate Ministries.
Formerly, James was a school teacher at The Wheeler School in Providence, RI, and a co-director of the non-profit organization, Providence Summerbridge. He earned his B.A. in English and Secondary Education from Providence College, and his M.Ed. in Risk and Prevention from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
