Open for Business
The Open for Business conference will host 1,500 delegates within the larger Urbana 06 Missions Convention, held December 27-31, 2006, in St. Louis. This special program is designed to mobilize men and women to use their gifts and training in business to seek the economic, social and spiritual flourishing of others. We hope that this strategic conference may interest you, whether you yourself are engaged in business or business-related fields — or whether you know someone who is and would benefit from this opportunity.
The forces of globalization that are breaking down the cultural, economic, and language barriers around the world are also opening new doors for the gospel. The missiologist Charles Van Engen has noted that "the commercial business marketplace may well be the primary mission field of the twenty-first century."
