The 2006 National Faculty Leadership Conference is entitled The Two Tasks, honoring the life and work of Dr. Charles Malik in the centenary year of his birth. We invite Christian scholars to interact with the themes of Dr. Malik's Two Tasks (1980), A Christian Critique of the University (1982), and other works.
The National Faculty Leadership Conference (NFLC) is a biennial gathering of university professors and future professors and their spouses, held over the last weekend of June. Christian Leadership Ministries, the faculty ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, hosts the conference to encourage and equip Christian professors to be more effective for Christ in their universities and academic fields, in their personal witness for Christ to their students and colleagues, and in the integration of their faith with their scholarship.
Plenary speakers include:
- Peter Kreeft, author and Professor of Philosophy, Boston College
- Dr. Habib Malik, son of Charles Malik and Professor of Philosophy, Lebanese American University
- Dr. Walter Bradley, Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Baylor University
- Dr. Katherine Bassard, Professor of English, Virginia Commonwealth University
- Dr. Swede Anderson, Director of Embassy/Executive Ministries in Eastern Europe and Russia, Campus Crusade for Christ
