Francis Collins & The Language of God
Date: Oct 11, 2006
Hosted by: American Scientific Affiliation with support from the John Templeton Foundation
Francis Collins is one of the most respected biologists in the U.S., perhaps even of the world. In his book, The Language of God, he reflects on his work on the
cutting edge of DNA studies and as head of the Human Genome Project. But he also explains his own journey from atheism to faith, and then takes readers on a tour of modern science to show that physics, chemistry, and biology can all fit together with belief in God and the Bible.
Francis' presentation (based on the book) was one of the most stimulating parts of a recent meeting of the American Scientific Affiliation at Calvin College. You are now welcome to hear him speak at the annual meeting of the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
