Please join other InterVarsity graduate students and faculty from the Midwest at this retreat for a refreshing time of exploration and fellowship.
Our speaker, Andy Crouch, is a former InterVarsity staff member and is now the editorial director for the Christian Vision Project, a columnist at Christianity Today, a member of the editorial board of Books & Culture, and a senior fellow of the International Justice Mission's Institute. He is the author of the forthcoming Culture-Makers (InterVarsity Press). Read more about Andy and culture-making.
Charles Habib Malik, former president of the General Assemby of the United Nations, wrote, "more potently than by any other means, change the university and you can change the world." Andy's topic for the conference is how we, as people of the academy, can participate in the kind of culture-making that can change the world.
Our seminar leaders include Cameron Anderson, an artist and Director of InterVarsity's Graduate & Faculty Ministries; Tim Mackie and Charles Yu, dissertators at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Hebrew and Semitic studies; and Dr. Steve Simmons, professor of agronomy at the University of Minnesota.
