Black Scholars and Professionals deal with challenges from various sources. There are challenges in their scholarship, research, work, and, very importantly, how all of this fits into their faith in Jesus Christ. At this conference there will be people who will present how they grapple with these realities and how their faith in Christ enables and empowers them to rise to the challenge. Come and join them in these very important discussions. Our vision is to motivate and train a new generation of African American Christian leaders among graduate students, seminarians, faculty, and professionals in order to enable and empower them to be faithful to God, the Church, Society, the Black Community and to themselves as they fulfill their calling to Christ in the Marketplace.
How will this conference help accomplish our vision?
WE WILL…
…have people give presentations in various academic disciplines and professional fields where we have examples of people of African Descent who have pursued excellence at all levels.
… engage in fruitful on how these matters impinge on our calling and vocation, and the impact we would like to make in our own networks and the world at large.
… encourage each other and pray for each other as we all face the different challenges that we have in our own world or networks.
… gather ideas and great advice from people who have exemplified faithfulness in these areas of life, work, and ministry.
