The purpose of this conference is "to envision new direction for more justice in the allocation of health care resources." The conference will equip participants to:
- Examine the ethical challenges posed by health care and bio-technologies in a world where financial resources do not make them accessible to all.
- Analyze concepts in an ethical framework for addressing such challenges.
- Prepare to advocate for an ethical framework to engage resourece allocation in a biotech world.
Featured speakers include:
- Claretta Y. Dupree, Ph.D., R.N., Director of Research for the Palliative Care Program of Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and assistant professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
- Andrew Fergusson, Physician, M.B., MRCGP, President/CEO of the Center for Bioethics and Human Dignity.
- John Kilner, Ph.D., professor of bioethics and contemporary culture and Director of Bioethics Programs at Trinity International University.
