A Conference for Intentional Christian Scholars in Conversation with the Sciences and Scientists Today
In 1998, Dallas Willard presented a lecture titled "The Redemption of Reason" at Biola University. This lecture is of great value as a starting point in the broader discussion about the interplay between faith and reason, and it serves as the impetus for this conference.
This second intallment of the Redeeming Reason conference, focusing on the integration of faith and science, will feature these speakers and presenters:
- Henry F. Schaeffer, III, professor of chemistry and director of the Center for Computational Chemistry at the University of Georgia
- Alvin Plantinga, professor of philosophy at the University of Notre Dame
- Ian Hutchinson, professor and chair of the Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering at MIT
- Ard Louis, a Royal Society University Research Fellow in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Cambridge
- Don York, professor of astronomy and astrophysics at the University of Chicago and a member of the Enrico Fermi Institute
- Patricia H. Reiff, professor of physics and astronomy and director of the Rice Space Institute at Rice University
- John Suppe, professor of geology at Princeton University
- Pattle Pun, professor of molecular biology at Wheaton College
- Cal DeWitt, professor of environmental studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and President Emeritus of the Au Sable Institute of Environmental Studies
- Alan Padgett, professor of systematic theology at Luther Seminary
