The Festival of Faith & Writing is a biennial gathering of readers and writers hosted by Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. At the Festival, our goal is to provide a vibrant community where people come together to discuss, celebrate, and explore the ways in which faith is represented in literature and how it plays out in our world today.
Authors, readers, and anyone interested in religion and spiritual understanding as it relates to literature is invited to join us and be part of the celebration.
The Festival of Faith and Writing began as an exploration of the communities made and served by religious writing. Over the years, it has become a community itself—a gathering that encourages the many kinds of exchange that religious writing seems to occasion. Our intent is to bring together the different constituencies of this writing—authors, publishers, readers, and academics—for conversation and celebration.
