From the conference flyer:
"The University of Prince Edward Island will host an international conference on the theme: 'Faith, Freedom, and the Academy: The Idea of the University in the 21st Century.' The conference explores the place of faith within the academy, and asks if the university should be a place of 'freedom for faith' or 'freedom from faith.'"
Keynote addresses will be by:
- Ian Kerr (Oxford)
- Stanley Hauerwas (Duke University)
The conference is sponsored by the University of Prince Edward Island in collaboration with St. Dunstan's University Foundation and the Newman Institute of Catholic Studies at McGill University.
